In May 2018, with the financial support of “UN Staff 1% for Development Fund”, CCD NGO implemented the project of developing capacities of women farmers in bordering communities of Tavush region. In scopes of the project, 700 hens of Super Harco breed were imported from Georgia and distributed among project beneficiaries – 20 unemployed women farmers from bordering Noyemberyan, Voskevan, Baghanis, Jujevan and Koti communities with 3 or more underage children.

On 30 November, the “Entrepreneurship Skills Development Training” for Tavush Agribusiness Association members was completed in Noyemberyan. The participants got acquainted with the definition and concept of business incubators and associations, discussed the external and internal constraints and opportunities for the development of those models including various factors: everything from market structure to the improvement of products’ and services’ quality, from psychological and motivational factors to formation of competitive advantages.

Within the framework of the Pilot Regional Development Program co-funded by the European Union and the Government of RA, 6th Steering Committee Meeting was held on 6 November. It was attended by representatives of RA Government, EU, as well as of 9 PRDP stakeholder organizations.

On 15 October, a training, titled “Leadership”, was held in Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University with the initiative of “Community Center for Development” Territorial Cooperation NGO. More than 30 students and staff members participated in the training which was carried out by William Joseph Dosher, Peace Corps Armenia “Community and Youth Development” project volunteer, teacher, trainer.
