With the aim of ensuring the employment of women in border communities, the representatives of WINNET Armenia intend to establish Women Resource Centers in Armenia and for this purpose they organize discussions on women’s socioeconomic capacity building in different regions of Armenia.
On September 11th the representatives of the Human Rights Research and Educational Center of RA Human Rights Defender’s Office together with the representatives of WINNET Armenia (the partner of the WINNET Europe) the European Association of Women Resource Centers, visited Tavush region, town Noyemberyan. The representatives of initiative group presented the advantages of the network and noted that the membership of Armenia in the network is an exception since only the representatives of EU member countries can become a network member.
WINNET Armenia group has created nearly 100 workplaces for socially vulnerable women in different regions of Armenia. In order to reduce unemployment and improve the living standards in the bordering communities, a new Resource Centre will be established in Noyemberyan with the support of “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO, which will be the branch of WINNET Armenia in Noyemberyan.
“CCD” territorial cooperation NGO staff supports any initiative addressed to the economic development of the region and always expresses its readiness to cooperate with all the individuals and organizations interested in investing in Tavush border communities.
