On 10 November, within the framework of “Progressing Youth Participation in Armenia on Governance and Peace” project, the first meeting of 4-module training took place in CCD NGO office, Noyemberyan, Tavush Region. The training was attended by the youth groups’ members of CCD NGO coming from Noyemberyan community.
The main goal of the project is to promote youth participation in social and political life by encouraging their participation at different levels of decision-making. In the course of the training, young participants will study the following topics with the help of the trainers:
The concepts of “peace” and “conflict”
Basic principles of effective conflict management
Empathy and perseverance
Basic principles of dialogue
Basic methods of decision-making and management
Different types of intervention in public sphere
Main components of UN Security Council Resolution 2250
Determination of new perspectives for young people
Action planning based on the Armenian context
“Progressing youth participation in Armenia on Governance and Peace” project is being implemented by “Peaceful Change Initiatives” in cooperation with “Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan” with the support of UK’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund.
