Since 2012 “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO together with RA Agricultural Project Implementation Unit (APIU) implements activity addressed to developing farmers’ capacities and competitive growth, as well as provide targeted sub-project investments in Tavush region rural communities.
These projects will strengthen the cooperation between producers and processing companies, promote food security and exporting. In frames of this project we implement research of Tavush region rural farmers’ needs (particularly animal breeding) and evaluated farmers’ competitive advantages on continuous bases. In addition to it, 23 farming cooperatives are already formed; roads between villages and pastures are partially repaired, and farmers are provided with agricultural machinery and means of transportation. On the purpose of developing farming household capacities, we do fundraising. The means will be directed to implement targeted sub-project activities: promote agricultural goods production and processing (paying particular attention to food security and using renewable energy resources). The project is implemented with the financial support of RA Ministry of Agriculture and the support of RA Agricultural Project Implementation Unit Office and “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO.
