On April 17, 2013 “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO and US Peace Corps volunteer Skip Brewster co-funded and organized creative art contest titled “Reading around the World”. The contest was addressed to inspire interest to reading among younger generation.
56 students from 4 schools of Noyemberyan area participated in the contest. They depicted episodes from various literary works. 10 winners were rewarded prizes; the others were given participation certificates. Considering the enthusiasm and active participation of the children “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO staff decided to make the contest an annual event, involving more schools to participate.
