The main goal of the project was to develop the capacity of 6 agricultural cooperatives in the Tavush region (“Best Green Garden”, “Aygegortsner”, “Arfood”, “Hovani”, “Shamshadin Eco Meat”, “Eco Milk”) by improving production technical capabilities, professional knowledge and skills of the staff and to ensure competitiveness of agribusinesses. The cooperatives were all established within the framework of the “Tavush Region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project co-funded by EU and RA Government and implemented by CCD NGO.

In May 2018, with the financial support of “UN Staff 1% for Development Fund”, CCD NGO implemented the project of developing capacities of women farmers in bordering communities of Tavush region. In scopes of the project, 700 hens of Super Harco breed were imported from Georgia and distributed among project beneficiaries – 20 unemployed women farmers from bordering Noyemberyan, Voskevan, Baghanis, Jujevan and Koti communities with 3 or more underage children.

“Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO in frames of CSO DePo implements projects addressed to Tavush region NGOs’ and civic groups representatives professional capacity development. In frames of this project in March 2015 Noyemberyan youth group members and high school students participated in training introducing “FLEX” program and its application process.

«Community Center for Development» NGO implemented «Strengthening women’s involvement in politics» project funded by European Endowment for Democracy organization in 2016. The EED support was directed to the civic society development in the region, to overcome the gender barrier in the elections existing in the region. The initiative was formed to encourage rural women to run for Local Authorities elections on September 18, 2016.

In 2015, Noyemberyan area youth group 14 members had a discussion-meeting with Dilijan UWC school 12 students in “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO office. During the meeting high school students and youth group members got informed about Dilijan international school educational programs and admission rules and how to apply to them.

In frames of “CSO DePo” project, “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO renovated Berdavan basic school restrooms in both floors of the building. In addition to renovation, we also organized training for the schoolchildren about hygienic rules. The project was implemented by co-funding of “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO, US Peace Corps, Berdavan basic school and community hall.
