In March 2014 an art exhibition and documentary film festival was organized in Noyemberyan town devoted to human rights protection. Representatives from Tavush and Kvemo-Kartly regions’ NGOs and youth groups participated in the festival, which was addressed to strengthen partnership between civic active groups of the two regions. 34 Armenian and Georgian young people participated in the festival with their pictures and films about human rights.

On April 17, 2013 “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO and US Peace Corps volunteer Skip Brewster co-funded and organized creative art contest titled “Reading around the World”. The contest was addressed to inspire interest to reading among younger generation. 56 students from 4 schools of Noyemberyan area participated in the contest. They depicted episodes from various literary works. 10 winners were rewarded prizes; the others were given participation certificates.

“Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO implements continual activity addressed to professional capacity development of NGO and civic group representatives in Tavush region, providing opportunities to participate in international educational exchange programs. In frames of this program, in October 2014 we established European educational projects resource center in Noyemberyan high school.

On June 27, 2012, with the initiative of “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO, a diabetic support center was opened in “Arevhat and Ani” Center for Family Medicine Practice in town Noyemberyan. The center has now 37 members. Once a month (every second Saturday of the month) they meet to discuss and share their experiences, successes, listen to the lectures of invited doctors and specialists on special food diet and active lifestyle, they also do physical training, share the latest news and healthy food receipts.

Since 2012 “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO together with RA Agricultural Project Implementation Unit (APIU) implements activity addressed to developing farmers’ capacities and competitive growth, as well as provide targeted sub-project investments in Tavush region rural communities. These projects will strengthen the cooperation between producers and processing companies, promote food security and exporting.

In September 2010, “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO helped Bagratashen community to obtain and install water pump and metal pipes to solve drinkable water problem for 3200 people living in the village. One of the vital activities of our organization is developing capacities of community structures and solving rural community problems.
