Improving Living Conditions Of Women Farmers In Tavush Region Communities

In May 2018, with the financial support of “UN Staff 1% for Development Fund”, CCD NGO implemented the project of developing capacities of women farmers in bordering communities of Tavush region. In scopes of the project, 700 hens of Super Harco breed were imported from Georgia and distributed among project beneficiaries – 20 unemployed women farmers from bordering Noyemberyan, Voskevan, Baghanis, Jujevan and Koti communities with 3 or more underage children. Strengthening Women’s Involvement In Politics

«Community Center for Development» NGO implemented «Strengthening women’s involvement in politics» project funded by European Endowment for Democracy organization in 2016.  The EED support was directed to the civic society development in the region, to overcome the gender barrier in the elections existing in the region. Partnership with Dilijan international school students

In 2015, Noyemberyan area youth group 14 members had a discussion-meeting with Dilijan UWC school 12 students in “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO office. During the meeting high school students and youth group members got informed about Dilijan international school educational programs and admission rules and how to apply to them. Meantime their peers from Dilijan School were informed about the rural youth problems and arranged to organize joint projects. Professional capacity development for NGOs and civic active groups

“Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO in frames of CSO DePo implements projects addressed to Tavush region NGOs’ and civic groups representatives professional capacity development. In frames of this project in March 2015 Noyemberyan youth group members and high school students participated in training introducing “FLEX” program and its application process, the training was run by US Peace Corps volunteer Alissa Morson and 2011 “FLEX” alumni Hasmik Tonapetyan. Trainings for Rural Community Youth

In frames of “CSO DePo” project, “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO organizes professional capacity development trainings for Tavush region NGOs and civic group members. In September 2015 similar trainings were organized in Noyemberyan area 5 rural communities. Training participant 25 young people got knowledge about developing grant projects and volunteerism on community problem solving. Support to Regional Schools

In frames of “CSO DePo” project, “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO renovated Berdavan basic school restrooms in both floors of the building. In addition to renovation, we also organized training for the schoolchildren about hygienic rules. Playground in Movses

Support to Bagratashen kindergarten

In August 2015 Tavush region Bagratashen village kindergarten was provided with new furniture: 45 chairs and 12 desks. The kindergarten now has the necessary furniture for children to complete their daily educational activates. Social Enterprising model in Tavush region

The development of social enterprising today is a real opportunity especially for NGO field representatives to implement long lasting and sustainable activity. In 2015 “Community Center for Development” territorial cooperation NGO assisted partner “Noy Astgh” NGO to establish a rehabilitation center, which is unique in the area in its kind. The center was opened in Koghb community on April 24 and was provided with necessary furniture and equipment. 75-100 disabled people get free physical therapy services here.
