EU and RA Government Support Agribusiness Enterprises Situated in the Tavush Region Bordering Communities in Capacity Development and Creation of New Jobs

On 19 February, within the framework of the “Tavush Region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project, TRIBED Project Director Hasmik Azibekyan and “Tavush Agribusiness Association” Member, “Best Green Garden” Production Cooperative Chairperson Mary Barseghyan signed a Grant Contract directed to the production capacity development of the herbal and berry tea processing plant established by the above-mentioned cooperative in Dovegh community, Tavush Region. In frames of the Grant Contract, new production equipment will be purchased and 4 new jobs will be created. The modernization works in the tea processing plant are in progress and will be completed in June, 2019.

On 18 February, within the framework of the “Tavush Region Integrated and Balanced Economic Development” project, TRIBED Project Director Hasmik Azibekyan and “Tavush Agribusiness Association” Member, “Arfood” Agricultural Production Cooperative Chairperson Meri Mehrabyan signed a Grant Contract directed to the production capacity development of the dry fruit processing plant established by the above-mentioned cooperative, in Getahovit community, Tavush Region. In frames of the Grant Contract, new production equipment will be purchased and 2 new jobs will be created. The dry fruit processing plant modernization works are in progress and will be completed in June, 2019.

In frames of the Grant Contract, new production equipment will be purchased and 4 new jobs will be created. The greenhouse modernization works are in progress and will be completed in June, 2019.


Bagratashen Community Square was Improved

Within the framework of the project “We are Responsible for the Most Important Issues”, Bagratashen community square improvement works were completed with the efforts of Bagratashen youth group. Now the square has new benches and litter bins. The Bagratashen community square improvement works were carried out with the financial support of the “Community Center for Development” Territorial Cooperation NGO within the framework of CSO Development Program funded by USAID.


Berdavan Older People’s Entertainment Center has got New Furniture

Within the framework of the project “Having Carefree Older People Improves Our Community”, Berdavan older people’s entertainment center improvement works were completed with the efforts of Berdavan youth group. The center will now host the older people of Berdavan Community in an improved and more comfortable environment. Many thanks to all those who participated in the project and contributed to its implementation. Noyemberyan park is newly illuminated

On December 6, there was a lot of activity in Noyemberian Park. Within the framework of the project, titled “We are responsible for our community“, the illumination of Noyemberyan park’s central part was carried out. Tavush Region Women Farmers’ Capacity Development Project

In May 2018, with the financial support of “UN Staff 1% for Development Fund”, CCD NGO implemented the project of developing capacities of women farmers in bordering communities of Tavush region. In scopes of the project, 700 hens of Super Harco breed were imported from Georgia and distributed among project beneficiaries – 20 unemployed women farmers from bordering Noyemberyan, Voskevan, Baghanis, Jujevan and Koti communities with 3 or more underage children. On 30 November, the “Entrepreneurship Skills Development Training” for Tavush Agribusiness Association members was completed in Noyemberyan.
